The Opportunity
Our client is a community-focused Federal Government Agency seeking an EL2 Director of Finance Business Partnering to provide strategic financial advice and valued financial management services.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with teams within and external to the branch to provide technical and general accounting and finance advice.
* Influence and develop financial strategies, policies, priorities, and operational practices.
* Oversee preparation of written material including briefs, reports, discussion papers, and contribute to the Agency Financial Strategic Plan.
* Manage complex finance functions, projects, and work programs, identifying emerging problems and risks.
* Provide financial, technical, and policy expertise and advice across core functions.
* Represent FBP portfolio in complex issues or contentious information with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain sound knowledge of core financial functions to advise management, Executive Leadership Team, and the Board.
Requirements
* Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and relevant tertiary studies.
* Demonstrated experience advising General Manager & C-Suite stakeholders.
* Ability to articulate complex information into simple messaging for key stakeholders.
* Strong project accounting background.
* Experience across various finance functions.
* Prior Federal Government Experience highly advantageous.
* Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this position.
