About this role The Maintenance Officer is responsible for providing general maintenance services under limited supervision and is crucial to assisting our retirement living group and ensuring safety to our clients. Undertaking grounds work as per the maintenance schedule, this role will require assistance to contractors also around the site. This part-time position operates for 61 hours per fortnight.
This is a Fixed Term position with an expected conclusion of Dec 2025. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
Mowing, fertilising, pruning, garden reuse removal, pet care (where applicable)Assist with supervising maintenance workers and volunteers, as directed.Complete relevant record keeping and administration.What you can bring to the team This role presents a fixed-term part-time opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Officer. The ideal applicant is a driven self-starter, with excellent communication and time management skills and a compassionate nature that enjoys talking and spending time with our elderly residents and can build a rapport with others easily.
As the Maintenance Officer, ideally your experience and qualifications include:
12 months previous experience in residential aged care, retirement living, or community services environment is highly regarded;Demonstrated experience in a maintenance or landscaping role;Knowledge of work health and safety requirements, or the ability to acquire within one month of employment;A current driver's licence.Possess or willingness to obtain:
