**Residential Support Worker - Family Domestic Violence Role Overview**
MercyCare is a leading Western Australian not-for-profit provider supporting people throughout life's journey. As a Residential Support Worker in our Family Domestic Violence Refuge in Broome, you will make a significant impact creating a sense of safety and belonging for women and children seeking refuge.
The role is part-time permanent, working as part of a therapeutic support team to provide day-to-day care and emotional support. You will work closely with the Refuge Coordinator to build resilience in those who come to heal.
To be successful in this role, you must have substantial relevant experience working with clients across diverse cultures who are considered at risk and/or present with complex issues in a residential setting.
You will need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of issues related to people who have experienced trauma, attachment, and relationship difficulties. You must also have the ability to be innovative, flexible, reliable, and work autonomously in an often emotive environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent (desirable) and have a Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, and a Driver's Licence.
