About the Opportunity Our GPs are civilians working from well-equipped multidisciplinary health centres on military bases across Australia, outside of the Medicare system.You'll provide primary healthcare to serving Defence members including diagnosis and treatment of health conditions, and support in managing long-term healthcare.Our patients are engaged in their healthcare journey, with a strong focus on returning to full fitness and eager to explore preventative healthcare solutions. You'll have a wide range of clinical practice, and while you'll see clinical presentations and consults such as family planning, skin concerns, musculoskeletal issues and mental health, you'll also have the opportunity to practice with a strong occ-health angle or specialise in exciting clinical disciplines like underwater and aviation medicine! You'll need to be: An Australian citizen with the ability to apply for and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance. Comfortable with a lengthy recruitment process – Baseline security clearances can take up to 3 months to process and can feel very invasive. Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA. A Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration. A minimum of 2 years Full-Time experience in general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
