Job Type: Full timeSalary: $137,682 to $171,831 plus 15.4% superannuationThe Quality Frameworks section supports audit quality and integrity throughout the ANAO, including the secretariat function of the ANAO Quality Committee, a sub-committee of the ANAO’s Executive Board of Management. The section establishes, manages and monitors the implementation of the quality management framework and prepares the ANAO Quality Report.The Quality Frameworks section is part of the Professional Services Group (PSG). PSG provides technical accounting and audit advice and support to the Auditor-General and vital support to auditors from all parts of the ANAO, through our management of the ANAO’s technical audit supports including audit policy, audit methodologies and guidance, and our delivery of learning and development courses.The opportunityThis is an opportunity to understand how the Australian National Audit Office holds itself to account for quality and integrity and contribute to ongoing improvement.As the Senior Director, Quality Frameworks you will build and refine your quality management skills and your expertise in the implementation of the national and international standards that support robust quality management systems and procedures across the audit and assurance profession.Duties include:Designing and implementing the plans, policies and processes that support quality management, independence and integrity in the ANAO;Supporting the leadership of the groups within the ANAO to improve governance and quality standards;Preparing high-quality reports for the Auditor-General for Australia that set out how the quality framework has been operating and opportunities for improvement;Assisting with the planning and performance of quality assurance activities conducted over ANAO audits;Providing secretariat support to the ANAO’s Quality Committee including the preparation and review of Quality Committee papers, minutes and reports;Assisting with the planning, coordination, development and delivery of training within the ANAO on quality management, independence and integrity;Oversight of the work of junior staff, including providing coaching, guidance and feedback.Who we are looking forOur successful candidate will have the following:Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills;The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and a commitment to deliver high quality written outputs;Experience working within a team and willingness to work collaboratively across different teams/service groups;The ability to establish positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders;Experience developing and implementing policies, processes and or guidance;Experience evaluating the implementation of policies, processes and or guidance;A willingness to exercise autonomy and responsibility under broad guidance;A willingness to learn and develop expertise in quality management and integrity in a public sector audit context.Qualifications: There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience in commerce, governance, accounting or audit are highly desirable.Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the ANAO, applicants must be an Australian citizen.Security Clearance: The Australian community requires the highest level of integrity from ANAO employees.
