The Diabetes Centre (NW Region) provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of diabetes using the services of the Diabetes Centre, Diabetes Education, Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Podiatry and Clinical Psychology to meet inpatient and outpatient needs.
The Role:
The North West Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist - Diabetes to join their team.
* Provide specialist nursing expertise within an interdisciplinary framework to assist individuals and their families/carers to adjust to living with diabetes and/or other endocrinology conditions including the provision of education and health promotion activities.
* Act as a clinical resource for internal and external stakeholders, including community organisation(s) and health professionals, to provide specialist advice, knowledge and support.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from April 2025. *Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Minimum Requirements:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.
Desirable Criteria:
* Credentialed with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (CDE™).
* Member of the ADEA or other relevant professional organisation(s).
* Holds, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification.
