Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre - Intensive and Critical Care Unit Salary $74,831.00 - $102,103.00 RN1 | Salary $ 87,416.00 - $110,497.00 RN2C Multiple Full Time and Part Time Ongoing roles available An exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team in the Intensive Care Unit, where we provide high quality supportive care to members of our community We are seeking skilled and compassionate Registered and Clinical Nurses to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where you will provide high quality care to critically ill patients. The ICU is a 32-bed tertiary intensive care unit equipped with highly skilled staff, equipment and facilities carefully coordinated to ensure the best possible treatment for critically ill patients. Flinders Medical Centre provides care for the continuum of life span providing a unique opportunity for ICU staff to care for paediatric and obstetric patients as well as the full spectrum on adult ICU care requirements including trauma and ECMO. As an accredited training hospital, the ICU has specialised training programs designed to provide fast, effective work-based training enabling sound transition to post-graduate studies in critical care. About the Role: Duties for the role will include: Providing direct person-centred nursing care and individual case management to patients on a shift-by-shift basis in the Intensive Care Unit Assessing clinical status of patients and providing appropriate ICU therapies in collaboration with ICU multi-disciplinary team. Providing support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing nursing care. Providing health promotion and education, to patients and carers to improve the health outcomes of the individual. About you: To be successful in this role, you will need: To be a qualified ICU nurses or have 2-3 years of acute care nursing in the Australian Healthcare system looking to commence ICU specialisation. Employees who have completed a 2023 TPPP program with 12 months ICU experience are encouraged to apply Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practicing certificate The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment A compassionate and patient centred approach to care Ability to be self-directed, and commitment to ongoing training and development Please Note: To be considered for the RN2C (Clinical Nurse) level you must have at least three years, full time equivalent, post registration experience with experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
