Hammond Park Secondary College (SC) opened in 2020 to Year 7 students. The college includes state-of-the-art classrooms, a library, administration, and extensive student services. It also features specialist facilities for performing and visual arts, science laboratories, food and textiles, design and technology workshops, and a gymnasium. The Role Hammond Park SC is looking for a dynamic, team-oriented Teacher – Specialist Learning Program (SLP) for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to deliver SLPs to support students with ASD to access mainstream education. The successful applicant should adopt evidence-based practice and pedagogy to meet the needs of students with ASD without a diagnosed intellectual disability. In collaboration with the Program Coordinator (Autism), teachers will provide innovative and engaging classes for our students and contribute to their sense of belonging and overall wellbeing. Teachers of this program will develop highly personalised learning plans to facilitate access to age-appropriate curriculum and apply evidence-based individualised education interventions.
