We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer with a background in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, for a 12-month fixed term contract, to join our team.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a major shutdown project.Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this position offers flexibility in experience for the right candidate and an exciting opportunity to work closely with our principal engineering contractor and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities: Provide project engineering support for major shutdown projects, ensuring smooth planning and execution.Lead front-end loading activities, including the development of comprehensive project management documentation to support scope development, tender, and execution phase planning.Collaborate with the principal engineering contractor to develop detailed work packages and quality management plans for structural, blasting, and painting scopes.Manage engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.Work closely with internal teams to develop work packages and quality management plans for electrical and mechanical scopes.Establish systems and processes to manage project control documentation and track project performance, including schedule, cost, and reporting through 1SAP, SIMple defect close-out processes, and D2-managed documents.Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).Proven experience in project engineering and project delivery.Familiarity with shutdown projects and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in project control systems and documentation tools such as 1SAP, SIMple, and D2-managed documents is advantageous.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across both internal and external teams.Successful candidate must be able to meet all site entry requirements including drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical.Why Join Us?
