JS Careers is partnering with a leading insurance firm to source a Procurement Manager to join a small but high performing team.
The role will work closely with all the business units across the group in a collaborative way. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business providing support and guidance to implement procurement strategies to ensure the highest levels of service in a cost effective way.
The role will also include a change management element, given the necessary transformation to processes under CPS230.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cost analysis evaluations to help identify opportunities to improve service offerings and cost effectiveness.
* Take the lead on strategic procurement projects from RFP to contract negotiations.
* Manage contract negotiations in a commercial way.
* Ensure strategic and operational needs are met with the provision of products and services from vendors and suppliers.
* Set the strategy and ensure compliance with supplier governance for the business.
* Implement necessary changes to procurement processes under APRA Prudential Standard CPS230.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in business/commerce, finance/accounting, engineering, IT, Procurement or a related discipline.
* 5+ years experience working in a procurement function.
* Experience in Insurance or broader Financial Services industry would be preferred although not essential.
* Demonstrated success dealing with procurement processes and strategies.
* Understanding of the APRA requirements under CPS230.
* Strong negotiation and commercial analysis skills.
* Ability to lead and complex business wide transformation projects.
