We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for full-time permanent Store Person & Sales Support Merchandise to join our Maitland branch to help drive instore sales of our agricultural merchandise products.
About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and can include local farmers, primary producers and trade customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone whilst:
4. Management of stock, pick and pack orders
5. Some on-farm deliveries
6. Forklift operation
7. Performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods
8. Assisting customers with pricing and product queries
9. Processing counter sale
10. Goods receipt and dispatch
11. Inventory control
12. Maintaining safety processes
13. Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries
14. This role will include a rotating Saturday roster
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a team support role in a busy environment. You’ll have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture, ideally with knowledge of animal health and rural merchandise. In addition, you will demonstrate:
15. Experience working within a sales environment
16. Effective verbal communications skills to build solid long-term customer relationships
17. A proactive approach to work and practical organisation skills
18. Excellent attention to detail
19. Problem solving skills and empathy to resolve customer issues promptly
20. Ability to identify ways to improve internal sales processes
21. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
22. A current driver’s license is essential and a forklift ticket is desirable.
