About the Role
This role will be based across Camperdown Youth Mental Health Service and Headspace Ashfield.
The responsibilities include:
Providing effective care during the critical early phase of illness, involving proactive engagement and initiation of clinical therapies.
Reducing the duration of untreated psychosis, limiting the impact of a first episode of psychosis, fostering hope for recovery, and maximizing the quality of life for consumers, carers, and their families.
Working in partnership with other agencies to provide psychosocial interventions aimed at maximal symptomatic and functional recovery and prevention of relapse.
Conducting assessments at Headspace and consulting on more complex youth mental health presentations.
Performing outreach with Headspace (e.g. home visits).
Coordinating collaborative care and targeted interventions for young people identified at Headspace (Camperdown) as being “at risk” of developing a psychotic disorder.

Ideal Candidate
Extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist (including AHPRA registration) or as a Social Worker, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
Understanding of and commitment to recovery-oriented services for young people.
Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
