Apply now Job no: 499456Work type: Temporary Full TimeClassification: Band 7 ($100,064 - $110,990 pa)Categories: Marketing & CommunicationAbout the roleIn this role, you will lead targeted communication campaigns, creating and publishing high-quality employee communications in collaboration with subject matter experts, people leaders, executives, and the CEO. You will also plan and deliver a variety of engaging employee events and celebrations. By building strong relationships with your team, managers, and key leaders, as well as gaining deep knowledge of the City’s directorates, you’ll tailor and influence communications that actively enhance and drive the City’s culture.Key responsibilities include:Plan, manage and implement discrete communications strategies to support and internally promote the City’s organisational goals, workplace culture priorities, and/or major projects.Partner with key Directorate stakeholders to provide specialist advice and guidance on the development of effective employee communications, including the development of new channels including but not limited to SMS, eDM, Digital Screens, Posters, Microsoft Teams and other channels.Assess, manage and ensure relevance and quality control over existing employee communication channels to ensure adherence to branding protocols and consistency of message.Identify and implement any new or emerging opportunities to improve employee communications.Work closely with and advise senior leadership and staff from any other areas, on best-practice employee communication planning, tools and methods.Manage specific projects and internal events, and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have a degree qualification in Journalism, Communications, Media, Professional Writing and Editing, Marketing or a related field with several years of relevant experience working in a similar position.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advising and managing on a broad range of Communication and Engagement plans and strategies including understanding of, and experience in, the development of effective corporate or internal communication strategies and practices for a range of applications – particularly with a focus on cultural change and improvement.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels and influence where appropriate.High level skills in assessing and evaluating the employee communications needs and options for a large modern workforce.Demonstrated ability in a range of contemporary communication media including but not limited to social media, digital photography and video, and web content authoring.High level stakeholder management skills – able to work closely with stakeholders at all levels and provide expert advice, support and direction on employee communications matters.Current Working with Children Check (Employee).Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).If this sounds like the role for you, then click apply now!Child Safety ResponsibilitiesWe are committed to being a child-safe organisation and have zero-tolerance for child abuse.
