Whether it's one of our five warm and welcoming residential aged care homes or our in-home individualized care and services provider, RAAFA Connect, we are in the business of people looking after people.The Management Accountant role will be joining our expanding Finance Team here in our offices in South Perth and will work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to ensure budgets are effectively managed, assist with financial analysis and provide support in the key operational decisions of our growing Not For Profit.Benefits to you:Competitive Rates - RAAFA continues to support our people with above award rates across our facilities!Salary packaging - as a non-profit organisation, you can salary package up to $18,549!Free onsite parking - all sites have free onsite parking with plenty of availability!Career & Development Paths - RAAFA offers various ongoing career development opportunities!Employee Assistance Program - Access confidential counselling services for personal or work-related issues!Employee Referral Program - earn bonuses for recommending friends!Discounted Services - including health insurance and gym membership!Corporate Zoo Membership - Visit Perth Zoo for free!Supportive culture - be welcomed into an organisation that provides a supportive, friendly and positive culture within all of our staffing groups!Major Accountabilities:Take a leading role in planning, reporting, and analysing the annual budget and forecasting process for Home Care areas and assist the team with any areas that are required.Assist with the integration of a newly acquired Home Care business, which includes both Financial and Management Accounting.Lead and promote a continuous improvement culture and pro-actively update internal procedures and policies to promote 'best practice' work styles.Provide detailed financial analysis and recommendations for growth opportunities.Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Executive.Responsible for reviewing month-end results and for providing commentary that clearly 'tells the story' of key variances.Provide Ad-Hoc financial modelling to review scenarios and predict trends in the general ledger.Prepare standing journals, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries.Work closely with the Finance Business Partners to prepare and submit the Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys, Annual Prudential Compliance and Aged Care Financial Reporting.Support the Finance Manager with the preparation of board reporting and technical papers that support decision making.Your knowledge, skill and experience:Fully qualified or working towards CA/CPA qualification.Previous experience with Epicor, Prophix and Power Bi is highly regarded but not essential.Experience in both Financial and Management Accounting will be highly regarded.Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills that deliver effective teamwork and establish successful working relationships with a focus on customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care industry and the key drivers for performance.Proven experience with Business Partnering at an Executive level will be highly regarded.Ability to bridge the gap between finance and operations by being able to convert financial data into a story that is easily understandable from non-financial stakeholders.High level of Microsoft Office product skills (advanced Excel preferred).Demonstrated experience in presenting financial data to non-financial stakeholders, including Executive.Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.What you need to do:Update your resumeBe eligible to work in AustraliaSatisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain oneBe up to date with your COVID-19 and flu vaccinationsRAAFA WA reserves the right to withdraw, shortlist and interview applicants prior to this date
