We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the afternoon shift maintenance operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for implementing maintenance systems, supervising the maintenance team, and ensuring the efficient operation of plant and equipment.
About Our Client: Our client is a key player in Heavy Manufacturing in North West Melbourne, committed to safety and operational excellence. The site plays a crucial role in supporting broader Manufacturing Operations, ensuring efficiency and reliability across the board.
Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Operations: Implement and oversee cyclical and preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency. Team Supervision: Lead and support the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed safely, effectively, and on schedule. Safety & Compliance: Drive a strong WHSE culture, ensuring adherence to safety policies, PPE requirements, and risk management procedures. Reactive Maintenance: Quickly respond to and manage maintenance requests to keep operations running smoothly. Collaboration: Work closely with Production Managers, Branch Managers, and operational staff to align maintenance with business needs. Cost Management: Ensure maintenance activities remain within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Training & Leadership: Coach and mentor team members, supporting their development and competency in maintenance operations. Qualifications & Experience: Experience in maintenance, production manufacturing, or a heavy manufacturing environment. Prior experience in a leadership role with strong communication and supervisory skills. Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and their application. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and SAP systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Why Join?
