We aim to build a work team of employees with varying gender, age, race, ethnicity, professional and cultural backgrounds.Key AccountabilitiesCarry out various work requests relating to the reliable operation of modern industrial equipment.Utilise the company maintenance management system to record and execute work requests pro-actively.Requests may cover a wide variety of tasks including installing new equipment, machining, fitting, changing out wear components, conducting preventative maintenance and small fabrication tasks within applicants' skills and abilities.Diagnose equipment faults, collaborate with team members and leaders as required to determine and execute an agreed solution with approval.Utilise various workshop equipment including hand and power tools in a safe manner with correct use of PPE.Operation of manual metal lathe, manual milling and CNC lathe to manufacture components and quality assurance test pieces to fine tolerances.Use of precision measuring equipment to determine accurate dimensions of components.Read drawings and technical specifications to determine equipment requirements.Conduct work on hydraulic and pneumatic system works including installation and repair.Good understanding of various fitting sizes, types and applications.Change out or rebuild components with a high level of attention to detail.Complete preventative maintenance and lubrication tasks as required by the maintenance schedule.May be asked to rotate work, assist and support other work areas at the direction of the leader for the efficient operation of the plant.Ensures all work areas, tools and equipment are kept clean and tidy by undertaking housekeeping tasks.Open communication for sharing information to fellow team members as required ensuring efforts are aligned to achieving team goals.Ensure the safety of yourself and others at work in all WHSE matters with familiar with lock out / tag out systems to ensure equipment is correctly isolated before conducting any work.RNM recognise that not all applicants may have all of the key accountabilities listed therefore if an applicant finds a gap in the requirements but has a willingness and desire to learn then they are encouraged to apply and outline this in their application.Qualifications & Certifications, Knowledge and ExperienceTrade experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environmentDemonstrated experience applying lean manufacturing principlesExperience in WHSE tools and processes including but not exhaustive of isolation, hazard identification, risk assessment & high risk work relative to roleWHS certifications of Forklift, EWP, Crane, Work at Heights, First AidKnowledge & use of MS Office softwareLanguage – English – verbal and writtenQualityQuantitySafety & SecurityTeamworkProblem SolvingPersonal AttributesHigh ethical standards and integrity in professional and personal dealings.Sense of purpose with a high regard for safety and quality.Flexible and adaptableA strong hands-on mentality.Process driven but flexible to deliver results.Self-motivated with a curiosity to learn.Additional RequirementsFit to work in munitions manufacturing environment.Ability to work varied starts, shifts or shift-work if required.Police/security checks and right to work in AustraliaJoin an exciting new venture with a dynamic team focused on collaborative, hands-on ways of working for successful outcomesBe a part of a founding team at a brand-new facility designed and created for technical excellence and future expansionWork in a state-of-the-art facility with brand new equipment, offices and amenitiesFlexibility to provide input into the systems and processes for the operationsWork for a company that values people, exceptional quality and serviceExcellent opportunity in a regional location in South-East QueenslandStrong links to the global Rheinmetall community across the world and Nioa throughout Australia.To applyPlease apply through Seek including your CV and a brief introductory letter outlining:your alignment to working for RNM and our culture;your qualifications and experience aligned to our position requirements; andyour reason for applying for this roleGeneral RequirementsBy applying for this role, you accept that the following checks will occur:Police/security checksAustralian citizenship/permanent residency and/or working rights in Australia
