What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in our Finance Consulting team i Canberra, you will be working with / alongside a team of Deloitte’s brightest minds to analyse clients’ needs and requirements for transforming their Finance Function.

Our high-performing and collaborative team offers Government advice to enable and optimise their investment decisions, funding strategies, finance functions and financial management, ensuring that they are aligned with the organisation and Government’s long-term goals.
We primarily seek to improve the investment decision making, efficiency and effectiveness of organisations at all stages of the investment and finance transformation journey from designing the change required, to delivering and managing that change and providing assurance around change initiatives.
You will be an integral part of a leading Finance Transformation practice in Australia, and generate real insights to help deliver value to our clients.

With a focus on Federal Government, you will be part of our team responsible for providing the following offerings to our clients:
4. 3-4 years of professional experience in finance consulting environment
5. Analytical background in mathematical modelling eg Commerce, Finance, Actuarial, Data or Engineering with an interest in capability cost estimation
6. Experience with Financial systems used in Defence, SAP, ROMAN, BORIS, TM1 (IBRIS)
7. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and other cost management/estimation applications
8. Strong communication, planning and organisation skills
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
10. Ability to produce high quality project reporting and analysis
11. Advanced understanding and experience in cost control/program finance across numerous phases of the project lifecycle/Capability Life Cycle
12. Experience in identifying, analysing, and providing solutions to cost control/program finance problems
13. Experience in conducting cost control functions, including cost forecasting and analysis, trending, budget phasing, and change management
14. Experience in cost estimation and controls practices
Due to client requirements, all candidates must undergo a security clearance and as such, only Australian citizens will be considered for this role. Please note this role is based in Canberra.
