Your responsibilities will include:
The Systems Administrator maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
About you:
* Significant experience in delivering a high level of systems administration support
* Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
* Significant knowledge and experience within technologies and domains including Linux, UNIX & Windows, troubleshooting communications networks, deployment of new hardware, heating and cooling paradigms in computing environments, networking standards.
* Significant experience working with a range of technologies within a professional ICT environment.
* A degree in Information Technology would be advantageous.
* Understanding of principles, theories and concepts and ability to apply these to solve problems.
* Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, including ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must hold a current CoA TSPV clearance. Candidates will be required to go through an Occupational Suitability Assessment.
