Patina at Alumni Court Full-time fixed-term position for up to two years Starting Base salary will be $63,008.27 17% Superannuation Based at our picturesque St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity We are seeking a motivated, organised, reliable, Food and Beverage Supervisor to coordinate and deliver exceptional hospitality services within Patina at Alumni Court Restaurant. A new high-end restaurant bar and events caterer in the heart of The UQ St Lucia Campus. We are specifically seeking staff with experience in supervising other hospitality staff, including Restaurant, Banquets and Barista staff. Patina at Alumni Court will be a modern and contemporary restaurant offering relaxed dining with an emphasis on paddock to plate philosophy, Patina will offer a unique shared dining experience overlooking the Alumni Gardens. Facilities will also include a private dining room and the kitchen will cater to events both on and offsite. Staff are required to fulfil 38 hours per week over a seven day roster including some weekends, evenings and public holidays. Key responsibilities will include: Supervise and lead service in the restaurant and event catering. Handle guest complaints, manage the electronic diary, and liaise with kitchen and event teams. Maintain equipment, ensure security, and oversee POS system updates. Train and motivate food and beverage attendants to uphold high service standards. Manage staffing within budgeted wage costs. Train staff on menu knowledge and dietary requirements. Manage stock ordering, organise storage, and assist with monthly stocktakes. Reconcile daily takings, prepare reports, and support account finalisation. Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification. Strong knowledge of food, wine, and premium dining operations. Proven ability to program and manage POS systems effectively. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills. Demonstrated experience in maintaining high standards under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to workplace health and safety practices and service excellence. Professional presentation, customer-focused approach, and well-developed interpersonal skills.
