OverviewThis well-established professional services organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with potential for remote work after a 6-month trial period. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing payroll, including superannuation and related requirements, using Access Micropay software. The role also involves supporting the team by handling disbursements and other daily entries as required. This organization requires this candidate to take ownership of the Payroll process and to develop/streamline the position.ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll using Access Micropay software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulationsProcess fortnightly payroll for 100 employeesSome finance-related tasks, AP, AR, Queries, reconciliationsReporting into the Finance and HR ManagerPayroll queries and manual calculationsManage superannuation and other payroll-related requirementsSupport the team by handling disbursements and daily entries in MYOB and our office costing software, APSCover for designated tasks in the absence of the supervisor and vice versaBookkeeping to cover accounts payable, accounts receivable, superannuation, Workcover, and other legislative obligationsAttend to reconciliations, journals, and data entryAttending to daily bank reconciliationsAttending to daily receipt managementEnsure timely delivery of services and effective management of workflow to meet deadlinesMaintaining filing of records electronicallyEnd of month processes and reporting with internal office costing systemReconciliations of firm credit cards and disbursementsTimesheet reporting and reconciliationsGeneral assistance to the Practice ManagerCollaborate with external contractors, if necessary, for payroll coverageAbility to work one day per week from home after the 6-month trial periodQualificationsProven experience in a similar role, ideally in an accounting or legal officeExtensive experience with payroll processing, preferably using Access Micropay softwareProficiency in MYOB and office costing software, APSStrong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlinesExcellent organizational and communication skillsDay-to-DayProcess and manage payroll using Access Micropay softwareEnsure compliance with superannuation and payroll regulationsInput and manage disbursements in MYOB and office costing software, APSCollaborate with the team to provide support as neededPrepare for and cover designated tasks in the absence of the supervisorWhat to do nowPlease apply to this advert or alternatively reach out to me directly at Tpowell@morganconsulting.com.au
