The Leading Hand is the first line assistant to the Construction Supervisor at the fore front of our projects and is responsible for all assigned construction aspects of the construction process.The role is required to provide leadership to all subordinate team members, in all aspects of the business, including health, safety, environmental, quality and financial aspects.As a Leading Hand you will also hold subordinates accountable for actions in regards to all aspects of the business.Based in Rockhampton as part of our growing team, you will be required to undertake the following key responsibilities:Key Responsibilities•Prioritise work schedules and activities to ensure effective time and resource management •Assist with Supervision, risk assessment of works and carrying out directions for planning and organising works•Monitor area of work and employee activities to ensure compliance with RMS procedures•In conjunction with project supervisor, interpret plans and drawings to ensure work is completed on time and to schedule•Provide assistance with scheduling of works and personnel to ensure effective management and continuation of works•Comply with any Safety, Environmental and Quality Plans•Promote and implement a consultative approach to resolution of site HSEQ issues•Assist in completion of quality documentation as required by project management staff•Assist with obtaining / confirming traffic management plans, permits, authorisation / clearances before works begin•Communicate to clients, service providers or project management proactively and efficiently •Assist with development of teams and individuals to gain optimum personnel productivity results •Promote and encourage innovation to identify time, resources or material gains to reduce costs
