About the role
The Little Liverpool Range Initiative is a key project working with landholders, community, councils, research organisations and conservation groups to ensure a coordinated approach to protecting and conserving the landscapes within the range. We are seeking a dedicated Little Liverpool Range Initiative Officer to join the Environment and Sustainability, Education and Awareness team and champion the initiative with the local community and partners. Your main focus will be on collaborating with key stakeholders and supporting landholders in achieving conservation outcomes on their properties.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Deliver and set strategic direction for cross boundary landscape conservation
* Facilitate the coordination of key environmental management activities on private land
* Coordinate events and activities including field days, volunteer events, meetings and landholder property visits
* Prepare educational material including brochures, flyers, reports and presentations to internal and external stakeholders and manage social media platforms
* Prepare grant applications and lead the delivery of grant projects
* Prepare and review the strategic plan, governance documents and partnering documents in consultation with external stakeholders and funding partners
* Mentor research students from local universities and lead the development of research projects applicable to the Little Liverpool Range
* Investigate opportunities to engage and partner with other external organisations

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Catchment Management or similar discipline and/or experience in conservation management programs
* Experience in developing and building partnerships
* Analytical, interpersonal and report writing skills

This is a permanent part time position working 2 days per week with a salary commencing at $85,139 (pro rata) plus 12.5% superannuation.
