Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager – After Hours Coordinator Temporary Part-time position available working 32 hours per week up to 31 May 2025, over a 7 day roster. Overview As the After Hours Coordinator, you will be responsible for the After Hours management and coordination of human resources and patient flow within the Southern Fleurieu Health Service. Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Nurse Unit Managers, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring. In consultation with Leadership on Call, you will ensure staffing allocation for individual areas facilitates effective service delivery for the patients/clients in a cost-effective manner. Utilizing your nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses. You will use your effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.
