The opportunity
The purpose of the Technology Process Optimisation Analyst is to analyse and optimise Bupa’s software development engineering processes and tooling. This position is offered as a 2-year fixed term contract, full-time hours and based from Bupa’s Melbourne offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.
With previous experience working in a software delivery lifecycle, you’ll have the opportunity to design and re-engineer processes, workflows and system interfaces that are portable and scalable and collaboratively deliver process improvements through process automation and data analytics to support evolving operational needs. In addition, you’ll continually assess operational risks, proposing effective process solutions and be a major contributor to the technology risk management process.

Key responsibilities:
1. Identify key business improvement opportunities using customer & data insights to improve customer experience, provide operational benefit and increase business productivity.
2. Use process mapping techniques for current state assessment and recommend future state with appropriate engagement with the business. Partnering with business stakeholders to identify the key metrics and success factors that best reflect core business processes.
3. Partner with stakeholders to conduct process performance reviews based on the baseline data to help prioritise process improvement and process re-engineering initiatives in partnership ensuring their engagement, participation and commitment.
4. Ensure that improvement activities are delivered using the appropriate measurement tools and track key metrics to control process capabilities and mitigate risk.
5. Analyse Bupa's Application Lifecycle Management processes to map, optimise and identify operational improvement to improve metrics and measurements.
6. Analyse process and controls standards, process framework, and change governance.

What do I need?
We anticipate the Process Optimisation Analyst will bring 2-5 years’ relevant experience, demonstrating proficiency in process mapping and assisting with workshop facilitation, within a medium to large enterprise. Your collaborative approach will see you establish positive relationships as a trusted and respected Analyst with team members and senior stakeholders to collectively achieve successful business outcomes.
In addition, you’ll bring to the role:
1. In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of process management systems, quality improvement and other process improvement tools and methodologies such as Value Stream Management and Lean.
2. Previous experience working within a software delivery lifecycle would be highly regarded.
3. Proficiency in analysing data across systems (Azure DevOps, EPM, Wave, Excel) using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Tableau.
4. Curiosity - by using a data driven approach to identify opportunities that align with Business and Technology strategy to improve team performance and drive business efficiency.
5. Clear thinking, with an ability to connect pieces of work from across the business.
6. Accountability - takes ownership and acts with integrity to deliver required results.
