You Are:
The Network Engineer is responsible for the creation, design, development, and management of Client’s corporate network environment. This role ensures stability, maintenance, and integrity including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, access points, Windows servers and VoIP telephony infrastructure.
The opportunity:
1. Design, develop implement, and maintain company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including switches, routers, firewalls, access points, voice and MPLS circuits, servers, and other hardware. Installs and configures proactive monitoring solutions, as well as other network infrastructure related software.
2. Design, implement and manage switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs etc. with minimal direction.
3. Provide technical guidance for project implementations of new technologies through partnering with the Network Architects, and Principle Engineers.
4. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot and resolve issues. Create and distribute network performance statistics and reports.
5. Act as an escalation for local Desktop Support Engineer with 3rd tier support calls and ticket overflow.
6. Create and maintain technical resources related to the administration of the network. This includes but is not limited to creating and maintaining documentation for network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. Additionally, this position develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
7. Participate in managing all network security solutions and network security audits.
8. Conduct research of network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
9. Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. Support efforts to maintain a 100% client retention and re-enrollment rate.

What you need:
1. 3+ years of direct experience including the ability and skill to provide day-to-day support and maintenance for the network and server infrastructure with Cisco, Palo Alto, WAN and LAN.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
3. A thorough knowledge and understanding of network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices is required.
4. Good communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills are required.
5. Incumbents must have a keen attention to detail.
6. The ability to interact effectively with team members, technical staff, vendors and customers as described is required. A strong customer service orientation is essential.
7. The ability to perform work with little direction and manage multiple projects simultaneously with associated deadlines is required.
8. Very strong organizational and time management skills are required.
9. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: CCNA certification.
Physical/Mental Requirements and Demands:
1. Work requires normal range of hearing, vision and verbal communication skills, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
2. Must be able to use a telephone or headset equipment and operate a keyboard and other office equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
3. Must be able to spend prolonged periods of each workday on the phone.
4. The ability to perform work at a computer station for 6-8+ hours a day and function in an environment with frequent interruptions is required.
5. Must be able to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs.
6. May experience elevated levels of stress during periods of increased activity and with work entailing multiple deadlines.
