An exciting opportunity has opened within our client's operations team to join a dynamic manufacturing facility specialising in equipment for storing and transferring bulk liquids, such as petroleum, and dry bulk materials.
As a member of the procurement team, you will handle various tasks, including forecasting, inventory management, purchasing, and coordinating stock transfers between national and domestic distribution centres.
Oracle plays a crucial role in this position, so if you enjoy working with Oracle and delving into data analysis, this role will be perfect for you!
Key duties:
• Follow up on overdue Purchase Orders and update the system with new information.
• Update overseas purchase orders with Advanced Shipment Notice information.
• Provide Sales with daily updates on shortages.
• Assist with daily tasks in the shared Purchasing Email Inbox.
• Negotiate with local and import suppliers, always seeking opportunities to reduce costs.
• Gather and process Sub-Contracting orders and delivery sheets.
• Perform other ad hoc purchasing duties as required.
• Learn and develop an understanding of Supply Chain processes.
• Follow up with suppliers on Order Confirmations to provide accurate delivery promise dates to operations and sales.

Hybrid role working full time Monday to Friday (one day WFH benefit)
This position is paying $40-$43 per hour + super
Whilst full training will be provided, we are ideally seeking some experience in purchasing and/or production planning and exposure to buying. This is a very busy position and therefore we are seeking the following attributes and skills to ensure your success.
• Good analytical and reporting abilities
• Great communication and customer service as you will be regularly liaising via the phone speaking to both clients and internal stakeholder.
• Versatile, flexible and able to work in a dynamic changing environment with multiple priorities
• Detail and results oriented with the ability to ensure overall effectiveness.
• Excellent communication skills across all mediums and levels of stakeholders
• Must be very experienced using Oracle
• Computer literate (good keyboarding skills)
• Strong attention to detail
• Passionate about meeting customer schedules and more
