Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.Job DescriptionAbout this opportunity We specialise in the manufacture and supply of rigid plastic and metal packaging servicing for the consumer and industrial sectors.In this newly created opportunity with accountability for the WA region, you will provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of the Health, Safety and Environmental systems to ensure the organisation meets its legal and ethical obligations.As WHSE Manager, you will ensure systems and processes are in place that focus on risk management and risk mitigation and be a part of a national WHSE team providing support and controls to our sites.The position is expected to provide a connection between the Site, Divisional and Group level activities and will require championing and monitoring implementation of the Group WHSE System (Policy, Procedures and Tools), including communicating with Site Management and conducting inspections and audits.Your key responsibilities will be to: Provide oversight of health, safety and environmental incidents and support sites with incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action close out.Monitor and drive activities with external regulatory bodies (such as WorkSafe and EPA) and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the Group WHSE System.Plan and implement environmental, health and safety programmes.Identify common environment, health and safety hazards inherent at the site and establish guidelines for the control of hazards.Promote and champion a zero-harm culture by providing expert advice, support and driving implementation of the Group WHSE system.Establish risk management and risk mitigation programmes.Monitor, interpret and champion changes to the regulatory environment including communication.Support the development and coordination of strategies.Train and educate leaders of the PACT safety management systems.To be successful in this role, you'll have: Extensive experience as a Safety and Environmental Manager.Qualifications in WHSE field (Cert IV, Diploma in Environmental/Risk field or similar tertiary qualification).Strong knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, codes of practice, standards and associated obligations.Strong skills in hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation.Previous experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and auditing Safety or Environmental Management Systems.Excellent communication capability with all stakeholders around risk management.Leadership and mentoring experience to continually improve the Quality culture.High level of initiative and ability to work independently, work remotely and manage competing priorities.Data analysis and solid report writing capability.Passion for driving results, change and continuous improvement.Additional InformationAbout us Our vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
