Real Chef Pty Ltd t/a Real Falafel, 3/4 Adelaide Central Market, Adelaide, South Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chefs to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cuisines, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for creating memorable dishes. This role involves managing kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, ensuring quality and presentation standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
* Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
* Planning menus, Rostering, and ordering experience.
* Preparing and cooking menu items consisting of soup, entrée, mains, and desserts
* Prepare and cook meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetarian dishes
* Plan and prepare menus for functions
* Cook and present food to meet different dietary requirements
* Showing techniques and providing guidance on cooking methods.
* Follow and implement food safety procedures
* Monitor and supervise OH&S standards and procedures.
* Recruit and manage kitchen staff
* Manage conflict situation
* Display strong leadership skills and effectively manage and communicate with a diverse team.
* Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef
* Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply
* AQF Certificate III Certificate III, Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Diploma in hospitality management or equivalent qualifications
* Minimum 2-3 years of demonstrated experience as a Chef, ideally within a comparable restaurant.
* Excellent record of kitchen management
* Credentials in health and safety training
