Senior Payroll Officer Location: North Sydney Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: I am looking for a detail-oriented Senior Payroll Officer to join my clients dynamic payroll team. You will play a key role in processing fortnightly payroll for 1,500 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is perfect for an experienced, proactive, ambitious Payroll Officer ready to step up in their career and take on a more senior position. Key Responsibilities: Process fortnightly payroll accurately and efficiently for a large workforce. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies. Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and month-end processes. Handle payroll queries and provide support to employees and stakeholders. Work collaboratively within the payroll team to improve processes and drive efficiencies. Utilize Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) to analyze and validate payroll data. Stay up to date with payroll legislation and industry best practices. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally in a high-volume environment. Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to liaise effectively with employees at all levels. Intermediate Excel skills – experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs. A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to pick things up quickly.
