As the Head of Strategic Marketing for ANZ & Southeast Asia, you will lead the development and execution of key initiatives aimed at driving client acquisition, retention, and engagement to ensure we deliver exceptional results for our partners and the business. In this leadership role, you will shape our communication strategy to build a loyal client base, while also educating and inspiring the advertising and marketing industry about the advantages of advanced TV/CTV advertising solutions, and partnering with Samsung Ads. You will play a pivotal role in positioning Samsung Ads as a leader in Connected TV (CTV) advertising by developing go-to-market strategies, crafting compelling brand narratives, organising impactful events, and spearheading initiatives to enhance client relationships and drive revenue growth. Your Key Responsibilities: Craft and deliver compelling brand narratives that strengthen Samsung Ads’ leadership positioning in the CTV and digital advertising space. Develop and execute PR strategies to amplify Samsung Ads’ thought leadership, announce new innovations, and enhance visibility across industry and media channels. Drive strategic initiatives that increase advertising revenue and align with business objectives, ensuring our solutions deliver measurable outcomes for clients. Lead the development of audience and product positioning resources that resonate with advertisers, agencies, and content partners. Design and implement strategies and tactics to retain and engage existing clients while expanding Samsung Ads’ market presence. Utilise Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create data-driven marketing campaigns, measure marketing impact, and optimise ROI for client acquisition and retention initiatives. Implement Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies to engage and build deeper relationships with key accounts, ensuring our solutions align with their business goals. Oversee content creation, strategic partnerships, events, PR, and social media strategies to drive client acquisition and engagement. Play a critical role in launching Samsung Ads in new markets, tailoring strategies to fit diverse cultural and business environments. Collaborate closely with internal teams and marketing teams across the globe (including the US and UK), aligning marketing efforts with Product, Sales, Legal, and Finance to support business success. What we need for this role: 10+ years of experience in an organisation supporting Advertising Sales functions, ideally for Fortune 100 brands. A background in media publishers (trade marketing) or media agencies (strategy, planning or investment). Proven experience in a marketing role within Australia, with a track record of demonstrable results. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the current media landscape, particularly Australia’s digital and CTV/TV advertising sectors. Experience in field or sales marketing, with a broad understanding of the marketing mix, including PR, trade marketing, events, research, content creation, and storytelling. A strong balance of creativity and strategic thinking, coupled with a meticulous, process-driven approach to execution. A solid understanding of media and the media planning process. Prior experience in the AdTech sector is a plus. Experience in launching new markets across APAC is highly desirable. Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams (such as Sales, Legal, and Finance) to ensure alignment and drive business success. Exceptional skills in creating clear, compelling, and impactful narratives and presentations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail. A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable navigating ambiguity. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
