About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Men's Behaviour Intervention Program Facilitator to join the Domestic Violence Action Centre based in Toowoomba, QLD. In this casual role, you will be responsible for facilitating specialised group programs for men who use violence in their relationships. The programs aim to hold these men accountable for their behaviour and support them to develop healthy, respectful relationships.
What you'll be doing
Facilitate group programs for men who use violence in their relationships
Work collaboratively with the client, their partner/family and other relevant stakeholders to develop and implement individualised intervention plans
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and case notes
Participate in regular supervision and professional development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Men's Behaviour Intervention Program
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology or a related discipline
Substantial experience in delivering behaviour change programs for men who use violence
Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of domestic and family violence
Excellent group facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and build trust with clients
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach
