In this exciting role, the Maritime Account Director is responsible for driving Thales' positioning as a Thought Leader, cultivating industry partnerships, and being accountable for driving key opportunities in the maritime sector and with the Royal Australian Navy.

Your role purpose will be:
Developing and executing strategies to expand the business within the maritime industry
Enable and drive key growth opportunities across the maritime sector
Responsible for senior leadership engagement
Establish and maintain industry coalitions to partner across the industrial base on specific campaigns
Collaborating with internal departments to ensure that customer needs are met and solutions are delivered effectively
Contributing to the development of new products and services tailored to the maritime market
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Your Experience:
Proven experience in a senior sales or business development role within the maritime industry
Understanding of large-scale programs and deals exceeding 20 million AUD
In-depth understanding of maritime market dynamics, including key players, trends, and challenges
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and guide teams in large Matrix-style organisations
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills
Knowledge of maritime regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
Strategic mindset with the capacity to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and engage in business development activities
A proven network within the maritime industry would be advantageous
