About the Ngaanyatjarra CouncilWelcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert. Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres. Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country. You will play a crucial role in shaping the store's future, setting new standards for operational excellence, and supporting the community's development.Community retail stores play a vital role in providing food security and nutrition. As a Store Allrounder, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to this important mission. In addition, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with daily operations, including stocking shelves and ensuring products are displayed attractively.Engaging with community members and providing excellent customer service at the point of sale.Managing stock levels, minimizing waste, and maximizing merchandising opportunities.Supporting the team by fostering a friendly and inclusive environment.Handling financial transactions accurately and efficiently. About You:We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team in a retail environment. You should have a solid understanding of best practices in store operations, with experience in stock management and point-of-sale systems.You will provide excellent customer service, engage with community members, and assist with day-to-day tasks.
