Simtars is seeking a truly talented Principal Occupational Hygienist who understands client satisfaction and is passionate about leading a dedicated and dynamic team.
You are project manager and principal consultant who manages Simtars portfolio of clients and projects, overseeing execution and delivery, ensuring project objectives are met, and other targeted initiatives to achieve the client's and the organisation's objectives.
Your purpose will see you positively impact the health and safety of workers in the mining industry.
You will be providing sound project management and delivering technical excellence to our clients. To accomplish the role, you will need to possess strong occupational hygiene project execution experience, preferably with consulting and mining experience. You will have strong productivity skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

* Strong mining industry knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance with the execution of Recognised Standard 14 and QGL-02.
* Occupational hygiene consulting experience.
* Project Management ensuring on-time delivery and excellent customer focus and service.
* Plan, prepare and execute occupational hygiene monitoring programs, exposure monitoring surveys, statistical analysis and Health Risk Assessments.
* Experience in analysing and interpreting complex data used to prepare reports detailing results, outcomes and relevant recommendations.
* You will possess excellent report writing skills who can deliver a high standard within tight time frames.
* Strong reporting, validation, and peer review skills.
* Provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to clients on compliance, best practice, hygiene program management and controls.
* Exceptional customer focus, management and planning skills.
* You will be a great communicator who will coach and mentor team members and who understands client needs.
* Develop and deliver training programs.
* Drive technical excellence, quality assurance and quality control.
What you need for success?
* Full Member of the AIOH.
* Being a Certified Occupational Hygienist is desirable but not essential.
* A degree qualification in Applied Science/Engineering/Chemistry/Occupational Health and Safety.
* Mining experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to travel throughout regional Queensland to service our clients.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to set daily, weekly and monthly priorities.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal to convey messages to clients that will achieve a desired effect.
* Analyses both success and failure to identify opportunities for improvement.
