Registered nurses with an interest in immunisation work are needed for casual work shifts during the traditional influenza vaccination window of mid-March through to end mid June. Our client has multiple roles available across Sydney (Inner West) and surrounding suburbs. This role will typically be a part time role and you will be looking at hours between 20 to 40 hours per week. Full time hours can also be considered. The hourly rate is dependent on the number of hours and days available during weekdays, experience, and ability to do cold chain management. Responsibilities ââ Administration of vaccines, in accordance with the National Standards set by the National Health & Medical Research Council and the relevant state Department of Health and the guidelines, and policies and procedures ââ Traveling in-between different offices/client locations throughout the day ââ Maintain immunisation skills knowledge, CPR and Anaphylaxis training each year ââ Maintain immunisation records, vaccine supplies and consumables ââ To monitor cold chain and storage of vaccines and to report and manage any detected breach of cold chain ââ Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to avoid any incidents or wastage ââ Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legislative, industrial and organisational policy requirements and standards in the areas of Work Health and Safety Essential Requirements ââ Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) ââ Nurse immuniser qualifications ââ Good computer and mobile device skills ââ Current CPR certificate and anaphylaxis training ââ Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) ââ Full Driver License
