Close collaboration with unit managers across PAH along with the Nurse Manager Permanent Nurse Pool (PNP) and external nursing agencies is a key function of the position. The NM DSAT must maintain expert knowledge of contemporary workload management practices to ensure the PAH maintains appropriate staffing levels during fluctuating activity periods.The NM DSAT role also maintains a pool of casual nursing staff and is responsible for ensuring this workforce remains job ready. Additionally, the NM DSAT is responsible for developing relationships with external nursing agencies to ensure that agency usage aligns with approved organisation procedures and values.The NM DSAT is expected to lead the planning and development of staffing practices at PAH along with measuring benefits realisation.
