Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate, government clients and institutional investors, providing a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.
IB&M’s success will be achieved through the effective implementation of our strategic initiatives. You will be part of the highly collaborative Systematic Markets team which combines computer engineering with financial markets knowledge. We go above and beyond to build creative solutions following consistent standards of coding practice.
Leveraging our integrated financial platform that comprises a blend of open source and proprietary technology, we deliver impactful applications to solve our customers’ most complex financial problems, including operational and platform issues.
In this role
As a Senior Quantitative Engineer, you will work closely together with Trading and Sales teams across the Commodities, Trade and Carbon team to develop quantitative applications and analytics solutions. Here, you will work on developing Derivative pricing applications and analytics across different products with focus on Commodities.
Other responsibilities will include:
4. Collaborate with sales and trading teams across Commodities, Trade & Carbon to develop user friendly derivative pricing applications within our Python based platform.
5. Develop and maintain tools to automate processes for Sales and Trading
6. Develop insights and analysis to support sales, trading and risk management decisions
We are interested in hearing from people who have
7. Strong programming skills in Python with software engineering background is highly advantageous
8. Established experience working in a front-office or quantitative role within a financial institution, commodities markets preferred
9. A degree in mathematics, computer science, actuary studies, engineering, quantitative finance or related field.
10. Self-starter with a passion and understanding for the financial markets
11. Excellent written and spoken communications skills with strong influencing and interpersonal abilities
12. Strong attention to detail with problem solving abilities
