Harbour Quays Aged Care is a stunning 131 place residential aged care facility located on a waterfront estate overlooking the Biggera Waters canal on the Gold Coast. This recently fully reaccredited facility offers permanent and respite care and secure dementia-specific care in fully furnished private single and couple suites.
About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate leader to provide high-quality care to residents. As Facility Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of HQAC, providing support and direction to all staff, and ensuring a high level of care is maintained for all residents. Your role will involve managing and leading the team, maintaining a collaborative company culture, and ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.

Duties
* Collaborate with the Care Manager and clinical staff to ensure care services are aligned with individual resident needs and HQAC’s standards.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to enhance resident experience and care outcomes.
* Ensure all feedback, concerns, and complaints are addressed promptly and in accordance with HQAC’s guidelines.
* Provide operational support, guidance, and leadership, including being available on-call as needed.
* Manage key operational metrics, including occupancy rates and incident reports, ensuring optimal performance.
* Monitor and manage the facility’s financial performance, ensuring budget targets are met.
* Lead recruitment and retention initiatives to build and maintain a strong, dedicated team.
* Foster a positive workplace culture by mentoring staff, setting clear expectations, and providing performance feedback.
Skills and Experience
* AHPRA registration is highly desirable but not essential
* Proven experience in managing operations within an aged care or healthcare setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and manage a team.
* A commitment to quality care and improving the resident experience.
* Excellent financial management skills and an understanding of aged care regulations.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and team development.
