The Housing and Transport team supports school staff who work in rural and remote areas by providing them with subsidised housing, relocations, and leave travel. We are the largest individual provider of these services within the WA Government.
The Role
In this role you will initially be responsible for:
assessing and calculating claims for travel and relocation allowancesbooking, managing, and payment of staff accommodationcoordinating and managing vacant property utilities accountsadministering utilities invoicingmaintaining data-entry and effective record-keepingLater on, you may also assist in providing property management services by:
allocating subsidised housing to teachersassessing needs for additional housingadministering rent charges and invoices for our leased propertiescalculating and arranging salary deductions for rent.Successful applicants will have good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to partner with our service providers, understand school needs, and advise employees on eligibility, their applications, policy, and procedures. Most communication is via email, phone, and standard letter correspondence.
