Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)
The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.
The Opportunity:
The Deputy Director of CLCM will provide support to the Director of CLCM in the management of all aspects of Program and Project execution, including Program and Project performance, quality, budgets, and schedule.
The Deputy Director of CLCM will act with a high degree of autonomy and personal accountability for all CLCM outcomes.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
1. Identify and drive opportunities to transform and improve operational framework, and procedures in the CLCM Program
2. Pro-active client engagement and establishment of effective communication channels at all levels within client and key internal stakeholders
3. Manages overall CLCM performance ensuring successful delivery that enhances the perception of the KBR brand
4. Foster a positive work environment that is professional, dynamic and innovative
5. Ensures HSE leadership with proactive management of safety and business risks, and development and implementation of appropriate action plans in close coordination with HSE;
6. Develops and maintains effective communication with customers, KBR and other key stakeholders to foster strong and trusted relationships
7. Works collaboratively with relevant CoA and KBR stakeholders to ensure appropriate development of Contract Change Proposals (CCPs) and CLCM specific documents
8. Work collaboratively with People and Culture to develop KBR personnel, improve KBR culture and employee retention and engagement
9. Supports both CoA and KBR to conduct workforce planning to ensure maximum opportunity to term extensions or redeployment of staff if necessary;
10. Facilitates continuous business improvements and makes decisions that look beyond the current position
11. Supports bids and proposals as required;
12. Performs other reasonable duties as directed
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
13. Tertiary qualifications in Business / Project Management or other relevant field and/or equivalent professional / industry experience
14. Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in a similar position
15. Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement, client relationship management and communications management
16. Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with key senior stakeholders both internally and externally in a Defence/Defence Industry environment
17. General business skills including development and delivery of financial reports, business cases, contract management and business performance reports
18. Results orientated with project management or professional consulting experience
Desirable:
19. Experience support Defence operations including private sector services
20. Project Management qualification or equivalent professional experience
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 AGSVA Defence Security Clearance. Minimum Baseline with ability to obtain NV1 AGSVA clearance or above.
