The Opportunity:
John Holland is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to support the Major Projects division in Adelaide. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will be responsible for the following:
1. Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a register of subcontractors and identify all key data in relation to each subcontract
2. Ensure selected subcontractors and suppliers are acceptable to the project.
3. Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and ensure all subcontractor agreements are closely aligned to the project’s risk management principals
4. Oversee the procurement process for all subcontract and supply agreements to ensure that all packages are awarded on time and within budget
5. Lead the identification and quantification of Head Contract Scope changes and all subsequent negotiations with the Client
6. Manage any disputes or major claims with subcontractor or the Client
7. Oversee the preparation of monthly progress claims for work completed and approve disputed progress payments to subcontractors as referred by contract administrators
About You:
8. Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Engineering
9. Experience with Industrial projects with significant M&E components
10. Significant experience in a Contracts and Commercial Management capacity on complex infrastructure projects
11. Strong leadership skills and experience leading contracts administration teams
12. Good communication and negotiation skills
