* Duties & Responsibilities
* Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
* Disassembling engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other parts for inspection.
* Replacing and repairing damaged or worn parts, reassembling components, and using service manuals as required.
* Conducting scheduled maintenance services like oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to improve vehicle performance and meet emissions standards.
* Reassembling engines and parts following repairs.
* Testing and adjusting repaired mechanical parts to ensure optimal performance.
* Utilizing computer-assisted tools to diagnose and test vehicle components.
* Inspecting vehicles and, when required, issuing roadworthiness certificates or outlining necessary repairs for road compliance.
* Providing assistance during vehicle breakdowns and responding to service calls as needed.
Qualification and Experience (please be detailed in listing the requirements)
* Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, or a similar qualification in automotive repair and maintenance, is typically required.
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Proven diagnostic capabilities, preferably on all model vehicles
* Knowledge of the automotive industry
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Current drivers’ license (Auto & Manual) is essential
* Friendly and positive attitude
