About the Opportunity/Role(s): The Queensland Council for LGBTI Health (QC) and the 2Spirits Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Queensland LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy Health and Wellbeing are committed to advancing the health and well-being of our communities across Queensland. With a partnership that spans nearly three decades, these two organisations have come together to lead Gayawur Rainbow, a groundbreaking project designed to provide affirming care that prioritises the needs of our communities. Together, QC and 2Spirits are creating a network of support that includes five physical service sites and a virtual hub, facilitating access to essential services, warm referral pathways, and peer-led programs tailored to the unique experiences of LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy individuals. Genuine occupational requirement: To perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and a member of LGBTIQA+ Communities. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. Key Responsibilities: Vision and Values Integration: Embed Vision and Values : Ensure that the core vision and values of QC and 2Spirits are consistently integrated into all cross-program activities led by 2Spirits and QC. Cross-Program Coordination : Promote cohesive work practices between 2Spirits and QC. Visibility and Voice: Create Safety : Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment for team members. Advocate for Team Needs : Act as a liaison between the team and senior management. Connection and Belonging: Foster Team Unity : Promote a sense of connection and belonging among team members. Build Relationships : Facilitate team-building activities. Skilled and Adaptive Workforce: Capacity Building : Utilise a capacity-building approach to enhance the skills and effectiveness of team members. Program and Team Support: Monitor and Evaluate : Regularly assess the effectiveness of team practices. Develop Resources : Create and manage resources that support team development. Key Selection Criteria: Leadership Experience : Proven experience in a leadership role. Commitment to Safety and Inclusion : Demonstrated ability to create a safe, inclusive work environment. Team Building and Cohesion : Experience in fostering team connection and belonging. Capacity Building Expertise : Strong background in capacity building. Cultural Competence : Knowledge of First Nations cultural practices. Organisational Skills : Excellent organisational and project management skills. Experience in Health or Social Services : Experience working in the health or social services sector. Knowledge of Queensland Systems : Familiarity with the social and health service landscape in Queensland.
