The Student Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing an effective, cohesive Student Services team to ensure successful implementation and monitoring processes for managing student welfare, health, and mental well-being. The successful applicant should have a highly developed capacity for risk management including critical incidents and an in-depth knowledge of social emotional learning (SEL) with a view to whole school SEL implementation.Ideally, the Student Services Manager will display a high level of interpersonal communication and time management skills and the capacity to lead and work as part of a busy and dynamic team. You would have knowledge of case management of educationally at-risk students that includes understanding of effective intervention, monitoring and reporting strategies and experience in developing and fostering effective partnerships with external agencies to support students and school-based initiatives. Knowledge of Department Services and compliance to Department Policies around student support such as wellbeing and mental health, attendance, child protection, engagement, and psychology services is critical.As one of the Managers of Student Services, you will work alongside other middle leaders at the school to apply your professional knowledge, understanding, and data-informed practices to promote teaching, learning, and student well-being with the school community and assist in embedding the school strategic direction. You will be responsible for promoting and maintaining aspects of the school culture that encourage and support positive relationships and active engagement between students, staff, parents, and the wider community.
