We have an exciting opportunity for quick-thinking finance professionals to join our Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) – Finance Business Partner team within the Defence Finance Group (DFG).
We are looking for talented finance professionals who are curious and outcome focused. You will need to be a self-starter with keen stakeholder engagement skills.
As an APS 6 Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for a variety of budget and financial management deliverables. You will take responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work, lead others to understand strategic impacts and outcomes, show initiative, commit energy and drive to see that goals are achieved.
As an APS 6 Financial Advisor you may be required to manage junior staff.
About our Team
The 2023 Defence Strategic Review (DSR) and 2024 National Defence Strategy (NDS) included nearly $330 billion investment in Defence capability over the decade through the 2024 Integrated Investment Program.
One of the government’s key priorities through the DSR and NDS is building GWEO stocks and establishing a domestic manufacturing capability to ensure Defence has access to the munitions needed to keep Australia safe and improve the resilience of supply chains.
