Our client is a dedicated organisation in the Eastern Suburbs of Perth looking for a Service Desk Officer committed to providing exceptional services and initiatives that enhance the quality of life for their community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality support and service for end users and devices.
2. Offer administrative support across the Information Technology service.
3. Assist in system administration duties as required.
4. Ensure effective administration and mitigation against cyber-attacks and cyber security threats.
5. Deliver excellent customer service by actively listening to customer requirements and working collaboratively with internal staff, contractors, and vendors.
6. Support the ICT team to meet organisational requirements and priorities.
7. Complete assigned projects in accordance with project plans.
About You:
8. Proven experience in a similar role with a strong focus on customer service and communication skills.
9. Developed problem-solving and analytical skills to determine root causes and provide effective solutions.
10. Ability to work with corporate applications, IT infrastructure, and network components including Active Directory and Group Policy.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of:
11. Workstations, peripherals, applications, server rooms, and voice and data networks.
12. Microsoft applications, end user support, and system administration (Exchange, Active Directory, backup and restore processes).
13. Systems administration using Windows Server, SCCM, and VMWare.
14. IP telephony (Cisco) and audio-visual administration and support.
15. Procurement processes, licensing, support renewals, and vendor liaison.
16. IT Service Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
17. Sophos Antivirus, VPN, and Firewall.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
Possession of or working towards a relevant post-secondary qualification in information technology or substantial experience in a related field.
Current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence (or equivalent) and National Police Clearance.
