What you'll be doing
The primary role of the Radiographer/Sonographer within the Radiology Department is to provide a high quality Diagnostic Medical Imaging service in accordance with National Registration, professional practices, standards and policies of the Radiology Department specific to Northern Sydney Local Health District. The successful applicants will facilitate shift coverage within the Ultrasound Department as well as assisting with coverage of shifts across the 24/7 roster in general x-ray, mobiles, fluoro and theatre. Prior training in specialist modalities will be recognised.

2. Hold current AHPRA registration to work as a Radiographer, with the MRPB of Australia and hold a current NSW EPA I-14 Radiation Licence. Or ASAR accredited Medical Sonographer with a post graduate degree in Sonography, or qualifications or competencies deemed equivalent by the employer and performs Cardiac Sonography or Electrophysiological Studies (EPS).
3. Demonstrated experience in the performance and delivery of high quality ultrasound examinations and the ability to perform routine to complex clinical procedures within specialist modality, with a high degree of competency, under pressure and time constrains.
4. Ability to rotate between other modalities to maintain WH&S considerations in relation to extended ultrasound, when required.
