We are seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced business development professional with experience in the Latin American Market, who loves to travel interstate and internationally, to develop new and existing opportunities in Latin American markets. This rare opportunity in the role of Business Development Manager (Latin America) requires a unique individual with ELICOS and CRICOS market experience and a solid background in meeting student recruitment targets. The successful candidate can be located in Melbourne or Sydney and will have a proven track record in building and maintaining agent relationships as well as direct marketing and recruitment of students in onshore and offshore markets. About the position Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the business development and student recruitment programs to increase student numbers and meet recruitment targets for the Latin American Market. The Business Development Manager - LATAM will develop agent relationship while promoting the interests and programs of the Institute to drive sales conversion.Responsibilities Undertake Business Development activities in the recruitment of both onshore and offshore students. Work closely with Management to develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies for existing and new markets in Latin America.Work with the marketing team to implement strategies for the direct recruitment of students via lead generation processes.Plan, organise and execute promotional events and activities to attract quality agents, generate leads and drive sales conversions.Effectively manage and grow the portfolio or LATAM Migration and Education Agents to promote and sell course offers to prospective international students.Manage the Agent portfolio to ensure compliance with regulations including annual agent review process.Represent the institute in new and existing markets at international events, recruitment exhibitions, school/university visits, student interviews and other forums to promote leads generation and conversion, including interstate and international travel as required. Report on business development activities, projected student numbers, pipeline and conversion metrics. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and provide relevant and timely information related to the LATAM Market.Review and report on market and competitor activities impacting the student recruitment activities.QUALIFICATIONS Business and/or Sales & Marketing qualifications at diploma level or above.EXPERIENCE / SKILLS Minimum two years of relevant experience working in student recruitment in the international student market with a focus on Latin America.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful international student recruitment strategies.Extensive knowledge of the ELICOS and VET sectors, codes of practice and student recruitment regulations.Fluent in Spanish and or Portuguese Excellent negotiation skills, as well as exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, including public speaking skills and ability to produce quality professionally written reports.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills, multi-cultural awareness, and ability to influence stakeholders.Willingness to travel. Occasional travel to other cities in Australia and other regions overseas will also be required.Experience in similar dynamic environment and autonomous roles.Experience in the development and implementation of international student recruitment strategies, event management, and targeted communications. Experience in working in cultural diversity environments.ESOS Act knowledge and application of compliance methodologies to meet regulatory requirements.
