Lead the design and implementation of a data backup replacement project which aims to refresh the organisation's current backup system. Develop the overarching backup policies and strategies. Develop key documentation such as architectural outlines, detailed designs, as-built documentation and standard operating procedures. Assist with BAU backup and recovery tasks. Key requirements of the successful candidate must have skills and experience with (mandatory): Designing and implementing backup systems for on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments. DELL Data Domain backup repositories. Write once, read many (WORM) functionality for immutable backups. Compression and deduplication. Cloud-based backup tools and systems. Defining backup schedules and retention policies in alignment with business and compliance requirements. Hybrid environments – On-premise and Cloud (Azure, AWS and GCP). Government cyber security frameworks (ISM, Essential 8, PSPF). The following additional skills and experience would be of benefit: Extensive knowledge of a range of backup systems (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and storage options (both on-premise and cloud). Automated recovery testing. Understanding of BCP and DR practices. Monitoring and logging of backup operations. Virtualisation – VMware ESXi. Microsoft Windows Server. #J-18808-Ljbffr
