Randstad Defence is currently partnering with one of Australia’s leading defence organisations to secure exceptional talent for one of South Australia’s key projects in maritime construction. We are seeking an Intellectual Property Specialist with experience within the defence or maritime industry.
Reporting to the Intellectual Property Manager, you will oversee the management and protection of intellectual property assets, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide strategic guidance on IP matters to support the organisation’s objectives.
As an Intellectual Property Specialist, you will:
* Develop and implement IP strategies
* Manage IP and information registers including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and trade secrets
* Provide IP-related advice and support to internal teams
* Ensure compliance with contract obligations, IP laws, and regulations
* Conduct IP training and awareness programs
About You:
* Must be an Australian citizen to hold and maintain an Australian NV1 Security Clearance
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, Intellectual Property, or related field
* Professional certification in Intellectual Property (e.g., Registered Patent Attorney) is preferred
* Demonstrated experience in Intellectual Property management, preferably in the defence sector
* Strong knowledge of Intellectual Property laws and regulations
* Proven experience in developing and implementing Intellectual Property strategies
